Biography

Jaime Maestro started working as 3D Artist in 1999. After some years working in different production companies, he arrived to Pasozebra as CG Supervisor of the newly created 3D department. Their first project won the GOYA Award.

Some years later, Jaime started his first business venture founding Keytoon Animation Studio, being the Creative Director. Their customers included TLC, Curious Pictures, Disney Channel USA and Spain, Wildbrain, Mattel, Orbit, Big Idea or Disney.

By the end of 2007, Jaime left Keytoon Animation in order to spend more time with his family. He worked as a freelance in projects for Nickelodeon, Ubisoft, Google, Reel FX, Sony Pictures Animation or Spa Studios.

In 2010, he founded PrimerFrame Animation School and their shortfilms won many awards, including an ANNECY and another GOYA, this time as a Director.

Some years later he co-directed with Scott Sava and Tony Bancroft the feature film "Animal Crackers".

All these experiences have finally given Jaime the opportunity to create the studio he always wanted. La Tribu Animation is born in 2017 to create outstanding quality projects with an artist-oriented philosophy.
