Biography

Briggs joined Walt Disney Animation Studios in 1996 and animated on films like "Mulan, Hercules, Tarzan, Brother Bear and Lilo and Stitch". In 2004 Briggs relocated to Los Angeles, California as a story artist, earning his first story credit on Disney Animation's “Princess and the Frog.” He storyboarded on "Bolt, Tangled, Winnie the Pooh" and then became Head of Story on both Academy Award®-winning films "Big Hero 6" and "Frozen". As a Head of Story he led a team of story artists charged with capturing the directors’ vision and getting it onscreen. He also had the pleasure of being the voices of Marshmallow in Frozen and the voice of Yama in Big Hero Six. He most recently helped develop and storyboard the film "Moana" and the Academy Award®-winning "Zootopia."

Briggs is currently in development on a future project at Walt Disney Animation Studios.
