Mikki Willis is the founder of Elevate, one of the most prolific creators of socially conscious media. His passion for uniting creatives inspired the birth of Elevate Film Festival in 2005. During its 3-year tour, the festival earned the title of "the world's largest single screen film event", hosting movie screenings for audiences of 6,000-plus! The global event served as a beacon to unite an ever-expanding community of philanthropic visionaries, branded as 'Elevate'.

September 11, 2001, marked a turning point in Mikki Willis' life and career. Having been inside the twin towers just hours before they fell, he helped to organize a group of civilians who remained at Ground Zero for 3 days to aid in the search and rescue efforts. It was atop the rubble of the World Trade Center that the vision for Elevate was born…

As a filmmaker, Mikki Willis has been granted rare access into the minds and hearts of world renowned philosophers, scientists, physicists, doctors, authors, shamans, and human development experts. As a director, he has helmed numerous award-winning and record-setting productions, including theatrical features, network television specials, commercials, and music videos for platinum artists.

Mikki's most recent directorial credits include: Breaking Band, a television series created for Mark Cuban's AXS TV network; Neurons to Nirvana, a full-length documentary featuring the world's most respected experts in the field of psychedelic medicine research; and Be Brave, a genre-bending feature length documentary, set for release Fall/Winter 2016.
