Description

The Hunt is an upcoming short film developed by Diogo Costa. With very humble beginnings, Diogo developed the principles of "Guerilla Animation" to allow him to create an independent film production that aims to compete with the offers from major animation studios, but with a fraction of the budget. Throughout the past year, Diogo assembled a team of 45+ artists - borrowing some of the best talent in the industry from shows like Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Arcane, and Love, Death, and Robots, to create a unique film - and a unique way of doing animation. The film is now in the final stages of production and is backed, among others, by Oscar-nominated production cooperative Cola Animation. The film is expected to be released in major film festivals in 2024. In this talk, Diogo aims to share the process (and thinking) behind "The Hunt" and "Guerrilla Animation" and hopefully, inspire you to make your dreams a reality as well.
