This mighty Korean artist is known and adored by artists all around the world for his epic drawings and illustrations. Like every man in Korea, he also served in the army for more than two years, precisely in the special forces section, which allowed him to memorize an absurd number of vehicles and weapons, often featured in his drawings.

Kim has published five sketchbooks which gather nearly 3500 pages of his art. He’s also published two comics in collaboration with the famous French writer Jean-David Morvan: “SpyGames” and “McCurry, NYC, 9/11”,  a story about the world-famous photographer Steve McCurry (remember this National Geographic picture of the Afghan Girl?).

His work has attracted and inspired millions – not only for the incredible drawings he creates but for his remarkable ability to visualize drawings before making a single mark. He draws on anything made of paper, from sketchbooks to toilet paper, receipts, and giant artboards.

Today, when he is not working in advertising for some Korean company or managing AniChanga, his drawing school in Seoul, he’s traveling the world to meet people and get inspired.
