"Djossi" is an ivorian slang word (in Nouchi) meaning “little job” and people doing these hard jobs in the street are called "Djosseurs.” They are too often considered second class citizens but to us and many others, they are true everyday superheroes who fight for their livelihood with dignity and hope. Djossi Heroes are distinctive with the tools that they use to do their work in the streets. According to our character's work and personalities, we will “twist” these tools that usually represent their struggle into a "superhero" symbol of pride and power. DJOSSI HEROES is a 15 minute short film documentary mixing live action, VFX, 2D and 3D animation to honor these brave women and men.
