"AKWABA" 3D fashion show accros iconic african places
AKWABA
Project Description
Our motivation ? "Sharing the beauty of his culture, is celebrating humanity". About the project ? When it comes to the African continent's notion of beauty, people often refer to the nature, whereas for centuries men and women of the motherland has crafted so many masterpieces, in several areas (architecture, sculpture, music, etc.). Also, the African continent cultures are often perceived through the opposition of "tradition" vs "modernity". "AKWABA" (meaning welcome) is a fully digital fashion show with 3d animated models, wearing fashion designer ARLETT's pieces, celebrating the global african heritage in some of the most iconic african places. "Akwaba" is an invitation to discover iconic but often unknown, African places. People around the world will gather on instagram to watch the 3 min video of this unique 3d fashion show, that we are proud to share. For the 4th, we will ask people to choose. Inside the 3 min video, we will have interviews of Arlett, and images of her creating the pieces of her collection. Innovation ? We are very proud of Haniffa, the Congolese designer who had the very first 3d fashion. In order to emulate this innovation fro Africa to the world, we look forward to go further by adding 2d drawing and video. The innovation aspect of our project is not about the technics we use, but the way we help wants to share about the creativity and grace of the continent we living in.
