As I continued working I realized that city filled with skyscrapers was unexciting and that's when I started looking for inovative options. I decided that my city will have sphere based buildings. I loved the calmness and peacefulness that they bring me, so I implemented it into my project. 

This post depicts my process sketch for the final piece.

In this future society, 5g has provided a new form of technology which through the use of an elecronical device, allows humans to communicate with specific animals. The technology uses certain frequencies which can be translated by the animals as words. For my piece i chose to show how in this future society, the crabs that live in the vicinity of huge oil rigs in the ocean, are helping with the construction and maintnace of these facilitys. With a bio engeneered drill arm, and a device attached to their head that allows the oil rig workers to communicate with them, they provide maintnace for the oil rigs in a way which is enviroment friendly. before hand, huge boats and machines were used for these operation, but the constructocrabs are a more effiecient and less harmfull alternative.

My passion is to make environments so for my participation I had the idea to create an isolated space, lost in a forest but an example where you can still have 5G.

This is a portion of my iPad notebook for this project, I have been struggling with just choosing one image, so I used this to help tie the other ones to it and eventually decide on a final image. 

When I heard the theme for this year's Golden Ticket competition, the first thing that popped into my mind was Smart Eco City where everyone can be part of change. But the question was, where to start?

I gathered references from Google and Pinterest and came up with my first concept. I used skyscraper models for my block out phase, just to see what works.

Research on the principles and the functions of different area. I figured that the agricultural pattern's rational would be different than the traditional, straight perpendicular fields,it would be influenced by wind direction, (seed spreading) soil layering, and rainwater runoff. The storage and delivery is placed in an accessible area from the ground level (when the unit lands)

I made a few thumbs to decide which colors would show better the technology part of the world and present the characters with a nice contrast between warm and cold colors

The final product ended up having more of a old painting vibe so that it brings some nostalgia when it comes to classic art, but still with some futuristic aspects. I mainly used to paint colored charcoal and some watercolor to give more light.

I add flat colors to find a nice color palette and have a base for adding shadows and highlights.

The next step in my process is to clean the line. I also want to leave visible lines in the final work, so this step is essential to have nice, clean, and crisp lines.

First sketch of the composition. I want an impression of Alphonse Mucha's art but with a future twist.  

I was away yesterday, so it's gonna be a bit tight. But I don't plan to leave my desk till this is done :P
