Jusst as I prefer to write out my thoughts before I type things out, I do the same thing when it comes to drawing. With drawing I prefer to do a rough sketch of the objects in the scene and when it comes to human figures I draw the guidlines of the proportions, that way I know where each body part should be placed. When I figure out what I want to draw I start off with drawing what I see in my head and carefully place each object in their correct space. Before I knew what i wantted to do, I had to carefully think about how I wanted to create a world where we could all learn how to once again care for where we live. As people we need to understand what it means to care for the planet that we live on.
This is my latest update of the chosen frame.
Still I'm not totally happy and if I'll have time I'll try to do some more tests!
Maybe I'll need to elnlarge the leaf on the left, anyway I'm happy that there's more time for the challenge!
Hope you'll like the update mates, see you soon
This is my moodboard. I imagined a place of gathering for celebration and education where masters teach traditional arts. The concept could be replicated anywhere in the world.
In this one in Mali, students can learn music, dance, design and permaculture. It's an example of sustainability and the school autofinances itself through tourism and it's products. With the internet it's very easy to make yourself known, trade and attract the interest of similar minded people around the world.
Concept 2- a pilot who crash-landed in some apocolyptic city and finds a device buried in the sand. When the pilot turns on the device, a hologram of a lil plant sapling appears. After having seen only pictures of plants, this hologram was nearly life-like--enough to inspire the pilot to stay hopeful for a better future.
my goal is to show that technology, as much as it could lead to greater degredation of the earth, it could also be what helps save it.
Image is a set of some sketches, experimenting with value groupings, lighting and color. The scene in Wall-e with the plant immediately comes to mind, so I plan to stick with a desert-esque palette with the hologram as the only green.
So, I had this crazy and exciting idea (personally) that if machines would be totally autonomous at this point, and able to work together no matter where, their construction power wouldn't have any limits and colonizing the oceans would make a lot of more sense.
The human being doesn't need to drive machines anymore, as they work as a single organism with flawless precision and reliability. We would have not only floating cars, but floating houses as well, giant coral and sea plants gardens and an endless aquarium looking out of the window.
Let's do this! :D
After adding in some extra details to the linework and messing around with different colour schemes for the background I've started adding in some rough shadows to give everything some volume and trying to figure out the overall lighting for the piece.
Really excited to see where it goes!
