I am ready for the industry! Now what?
Tips & tricks for juniors on how to streamline the job application process
How many times have you said "I am ready for the industry" lately? And do you know exactly what happens next? Well, me neither! Back in 2020, after finishing my studies, I also had no idea what was needed to land my first job in the creative industry and neither did I know where to start looking! Flash forward to today, I am a working artist in the industry - however the process was not easy peasy lemon squeezy... On the contrary, it was confusing, heartbreaking and emotionally draining... This talk will focus on simplifying the dauting process of job applications, by giving you tools, tips & tricks on how to make this process easier! From one artist to another - whether you are a recent graduate, still a student or if you are trying to break into the industry after years of trying - junior job applications can be a difficult process to navigate. But if we put our minds up to it, anything is within reach - so come along for the ride!

Nothing resonates with me, more than this right now. I hope I am ready, but I never seem to be in this industry that seems to demand an endless skill set.

Wonderful talk! I've been learning on my own, so I have been missing this guidance on how to find work. This has been a huge help in giving me some direction and breaking down everything into actionable steps. It was also great to acknowledge what is in our control when it comes to pursuing a career in the art industry and how we can use that to increase our luck. Thank you!
