Zuri Chavers, is a visionary polymath who has devoted his life to delivering the public creative projects while building communities of like-minds. Growing up in Maryland, he has built companies that aid people in exploring their creative passions. Since the tender age of 5; Zuri has been a published poet in literary magazines for his work. Later, while still in middle school he assumed a leadership role building, Nesyss City (necessity), a poetic hip-hop club for his peers whom endeavored to create in the same vein. Through this program he honed his talents and was able to develop his ideas and form partnerships with local organizations like Howard Community College’s Business and Entrepreneurship Office which lead to The Caplan Scholars Program for emergent Entrepreneurs and a pilot program with The COLUMBIA Association, which he spearheaded. Through these experiences he recognized opportunity in technology and enrolled in From Innovation to Marketplace, a development program offered by the school which helped students refine business concepts through applications of technology and science. In this program he worked collaboratively to establish strategies for MOMsense, a tool to prevent Fetal Jaundice. He continued his passion for giving back to children through his work with The March of Dimes and created an infomercial which won First Place for Video production in Future Business Leaders of America 2007. That same year he wrote and directed “Tobacco Road”, a staged skit to one of his original musical arrangements. Zuri has always been in the intersection of Entertainment, Technology and Business earning a position with prestigious organizations such as Walt Disney’s College internship program in 2009 and the Recording Academy (GRAMMYs) in 2010. In 2012 he earned his Associates in Business Technology and followed that up with his Bachelors in Electronic Media and Film shortly thereafter. Zuri is a lifelong gamer who played and collected almost every system and genre. Favorites including RPG's like Bloodbourne, Mass Effect, Fallout New Vegas, and Bioshock to name a few. Through playing each game he developed an appreciation for lore, environmental based narrative and dynamic characters. These traits he aims to explore while working within the Sony Talent League.
