Junior
3D Designer and Digital Artist with professional experience across the full production pipeline — from initial concept through final render delivery.
Biography
Will Gilmer is a 3D Designer and Digital Artist with a rare combination of technical depth and creative range, spanning the full production pipeline from initial concept through final render delivery. With a B.S. in Computer Science and an M.F.A. in Digital Production Arts — both from Clemson University, where he focused on Character Animation — Will brings an academic foundation that bridges code and craft in equal measure.
His professional work spans consumer products, theme park environments, and live event production. Most recently, Will served as a 3D Artist at Peachtree Playthings, a mid-size toy manufacturer distributing to major retailers including Target, Walmart, and Dollar Tree, where he created production-ready assets through sculpting and modeling and produced rendered images and short-form videos to bring those products to life for retail audiences.
Prior to that, Will worked as a freelance artist for Universal Studios and other clients, digitally sculpting and designing 3D environmental pieces destined for use in Universal Studios theme parks — work that demanded both technical precision and an imaginative sense of scale and storytelling.
On the production side, Will has served Peachtree Church as both an Associate Video Producer and Lighting Director. In the video role, he developed, edited, and produced video content, motion graphics, and other media, while helping cultivate a broader culture of storytelling within the organization. As Lighting Director, he programs and runs lighting for major events including Christmas and Easter productions and other special shows.
His toolkit includes Maya, ZBrush, Arnold, Renderman, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Python, and C++, with strengths in 3D modeling, digital sculpting, lighting, lookdev, editing, color grading, and compositing.
