I am a British Bangladeshi multidisciplinary artist based in Birmingham, UK. I’ve studied a 'BA (Hons) - Visual Communication: Film and Animation’ degree. Since 2014 I've freelanced as an animator and illustrator and since 2017 I've run a small duo animation studio with my husband, where we do freelancing gigs in 2D, 3D and mixed media animation. My passion for the creative production pipeline stems from my childhood fascination for cartoons and video games. I’ve always loved how animation and illustration can be used to push the boundaries of reality and transport you into new worlds. I also grew up in a very multicultural part of Birmingham and found people quite fascinating. It always intrigued me to see a huge range of personalities, appearances, and life stories which makes every individual so unique. I've always wanted to be able to celebrate that and depict stories and styles which I’m influenced through my chosen creative medium. The work I create mainly focuses on character-based design and 2D animation. Some of my many influences include Genndy Tartakovsky, Robert Valley, and Bruce Timm with their incredible narratives and uses of movement as well as shape which make their characters diverse and distinct. My interests had also led me to pursue a range of alternative creative job roles such as storyboard artist, visual development artist, painter, illustrator, art peer mentor, camera operator, and video editor.
