Violet is an illustrator based in Atlanta, GA. Initially, Violet studied theatre and performance studies. Over time, she grew to love the charm of storytelling above all else and jumped to illustration as a means to that end. In 2018, Violet became a full-time illustrator with representation from the Bright Agency. She has focused the last five years of her work on picture books, book covers, spot illustrations, and portraits. Violet has had the great fortune to work with Scholastic, Macmillan, Penguin, HarperCollins, and Rooster Teeth. Her book covers include The Many Meanings of Meilan, Ravenous Things, Small Town Pride, and more. Picture books include My Maddy (2022 ALA Rainbow Book Listed Top 10), Miss Rita: Mystery Reader, and the upcoming My Extraordinary Face. Other books include Calling All Witches, RWBY: Fairytailes of Remnant, Monster Science, and more. Violet received the Liz Conrad award from the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators for illustrations in STEM. Violet has honed her strengths in color, composition, anatomy, and background to one day publish work she has written and illustrated for graphic novels and picture books. Violet is a storyteller with an affinity for whimsy, humor, and well-delivered morals. She searches to work with creative communities to build stories that help us understand ourselves.
