Biography
Haleuuu! My name is Tricia Pathy.
A female biracial mixed heritage human bean that goes by She/Her and a 2D Character Concept Artist based in Toronto, Canada.
I am immensely passionate about everything related to characters, personalities, costumes & diversity. I have a deep love for a variety of genres from Fantasy to Sci-Fi & everything in between or beyond. Whatever the vision may be, I love to help bring folks' Dream projects or Nightmare Realms to life.
My love for characters also carries on to my handmade side where I sew costumes, apply make-up/prosthetics, sculpt art dolls, & needle-felt wool creatures to life. One can often find me tinkering and making many things with my hands late into the night. Being passionate about creating interesting characters from epic lands in a digital or physical space, from miniature to real-life scale complete with helping make memorable experiences is my life's drive.
Often told growing up that I was a peculiar child with wild vivid imaginations of other universes, while although my body was clumsily present, my mind was always up in the clouds on a swashbuckling adventure in another realm. Rented movies or what was on TV basically raised me growing up, and with the amount of movies I consumed, it fueled how I articulated the world. I don't think that the adults that helped raise me in my childhood, could've predicted I would retain anything of all the movies they were watching in front of me. But little did they know, as I was supposed to be quietly playing with my Barbies on the side, that I was absorbing all this story-telling & world aesthetic, costume goodness.
I'm a mixed kid that was raised in a diverse multicultural family. My earliest days started out with fond memories of my family's farm to small-town life, then to the hustle and bustle of cities for art study & now career-related work. One may see my influences of all I mentioned above in the pieces of art/ stories I want to tell, especially through what I am showing in my personal IP Project: Odyssey. I could go on more but this blurb will be too long, best to show it with the worlds & characters I create. ^_^
Outside of making characters one can find me Treasure Hunting- I am a Maximallist & avid collector of many things, for e.g plushies, 1/6th scale figures, art of books, video games & steelbook blu-rays. I also do Roller-skating, Figure-Skating, piano jamming, & getting dirty building/ modding things with my partner, whom I'm very lucky in sharing most of the interests I've mentioned above! (Lately we restored an Arcade machine! So much fun)
