Biography

Tracy Campbell, Director Production Training & Development at Walt Disney Animation Studios, is responsible for the continuing education and inspiration of this 100-year old studio in the areas of filmmaking, storytelling, art and technology that influences how this studio creates content.

For 15 years, Tracy has partnered with teams at all stages of production on multiple award-winning animated films, including Tangled, FrozenRalph Breaks the Internet, Frozen 2EncantoStrange World and Wish. In her nearly 19 years at The Walt Disney Company, Tracy has held various leadership roles within multiple segments including Training and Staffing, Creative Operations and Talent Development.

Tracy did enjoy a first career in theme park production at Universal Studios Hollywood providing project management for creative development on all properties world-wide. Some of Tracy's theme park career highlights include in various ways: * Universal Studios Islands of Adventure in Orlando * Universal Studios Japan * Universal’s Port Adventura Spain. 

After twelve years there, she went back to school to complete her Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Writing, a skill best employed in email composition. She credits the power of networking to her switch to animation production and landing a dream job at Disney. She also credits her experience in managing the business and learning needs of a creative community as invaluable to thriving in the vibrant craziness of animation production.

In 2014, Tracy joined a group of women to revitalize the non-profit advocacy group, Women in Animation (WIA). Membership has grown from 120 people to over 12,000 animation professionals and students today. Primarily powered by volunteers, WIA is a world-class advocacy organization impacting the lives of creative women, transgender and non-binary people around the world.

Tracy is dedicated to serving the business side of artistic expression and fostering diverse voices in the entertainment industry.
