
Biography
Mr. Flattery is an internationally acclaimed concept artist and designer with expertise in concept development, design, fabrication and story telling for the entertainment industry. In a career spanning more than 30 years, he has worked on some of the biggest films for some of the most famous directors in the world including Steven Spielberg, James Gunn and Tim Burton. Some recent films he has worked on are, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Avengers: Infinity War and End Game and Suicide Squad 2. Previously he has designed and overseen full size construction of custom vehicles such as the Batmobile for Batman Forever and the Fantasticar for Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer. Additionally, he has raised the creative bar with acclaimed design work on award winning and blockbuster films including Saving Private Ryan, Men In Black 1-2, Transformers, Pirates Of The Caribbean, The Hunger Games, Spiderman 2 and many others.
Beyond his career as a Concept Designer in the film industry, Mr. Flattery is Provost at the College For Creative Studies in Detroit. As Provost, Flattery is responsible for providing educational leadership at CCS and is the chief academic officer responsible for the quality of the College’s undergraduate and graduate programs. He is responsible for ensuring student success by overseeing the full student experience, including Student Affairs. He also serves as the academic liaison to the President, Board of Trustees and administrative liaison to the College’s academic governance bodies, Chair Council and Faculty Assembly.
