
Biography
Thijs van de Wouw is an Executive Strategy Director with over 12 years of experience leading strategy for some of the world's most influential brands, including Nike, Google, Activision Blizzard, and HBO's Game of Thrones. Currently, Thijs serves as the Head of the Strategy and Communications Planning department at Wieden+Kennedy Tokyo and Seoul.
His diverse professional journey has taken him across vibrant cities such as Amsterdam, Sydney, San Francisco, New York, Seoul, and Tokyo, providing him with a profound global perspective and a deep understanding of diverse cultural landscapes.
He was featured in Forbes 30 Under 30 as โa leader, creative, and innovator shaping the future of marketing and advertisingโ, and his work has been widely recognized at Cannes Lions, Clio Awards, and The One Show, to name a few, with the majority of awards being in innovative and culturally impactful categories.
Outside of work he lectures at Ukrainian school SKVOT and is an Advisory Board Member of Breda University of Applied Sciences. He also writes and contributes for Adweek, campaignmagazine, and highsnobiety, talking mostly about gaming with topics such as โhow brands can navigate the esports sceneโ.
