Started my career as an illustrator then moved into film design, working on the Hobbit movies (and others) in Wellington, New Zealand. I wanted to get into animation, so (kind of did it backwards) started teaching part time on a new Animation Degree, two years later I was fulltime Head of the Department and oversaw the whole school, while still juggling freelance film work.

Then I came upon a chance to work in animation, so I took it, along with the best graduates from the programme I was overseeing, we expanded an animation studio in Auckland, and over a few years created many local shows, one which I got the privilege to art direct. After covid, I moved to Australia and continued on several animation projects in Sydney, the latest being the upcoming Avatar the Last Airbender, animated feature film.
