
Biography
Tatenda is a steadily rising contemporary urban writer from Zimbabwe. She is passionate about the art, using the newer forms and structures to construct her works. Her pieces are generally centred around African Empowerment, Female Empowerment, Identity, Social Awareness, Self-Love and Consciousness which she believes in this day and age are vital subjects that need to be discussed and have a platform to voice them out to. She has been published in a number of journals, including The Kalahari Review, Voice of Eve, Mizmor Anthology and African Writer. She has performed in South Africa, Tanzania and Zimbabwe and is a recent nominee of the National Arts Merit Awards for Outstanding Poetry.
