Production I.G. で、『攻殻機動隊 STAND ALONE COMPLEX』の脚本家としてデビュー。その後、『エヴァンゲリオン』、『レッドライン』、『おじゃる丸』などの有名作品で脚本家としてのキャリアを積む。『ジョバンニの島』という作品をきっかけにプロデューサーの仕事を始める。2017年にNetflixに入社し、アニメクリエイティブチームのディレクターとして活躍。『バイオハザード: インフィニット ダークネス』、『極主夫道』、『ポケモン コンシェルジュ』そして『グリム組曲』などのアニメをプロデュース。2023年6月にSalamander Picturesを設立し、新たなアニメの企画開発に取り組む。

Taiki Sakurai started his career at Production I.G. He has a diverse background in the anime industry, having started as a screenwriter on some well-known titles like "Ghost in the Shell," "Evangelion," and "Redline." He has moved on to producing anime such as "Napping Princess," "Resident Evil," "The Way of the Househusband," and the upcoming "Pokemon: Concierge." Since joining Netflix in 2017, Taiki has lead the anime Creative team based in Tokyo as Director of Anime Creative. In June 2023, he founded Salamander Pictures to focus on developing new original anime projects.
