My name is Sophia Schaefer, though I prefer being called Phia. My parents love to travel a lot so throughout my life I have been to many different countries and in some of them I have even lived for quite a while. I am from a rather small town not too far from Berlin, so I grew up around a lot of greenery. The first time I went abroad for a rather long time I lived in the state of Georgia in the US and that was during second grade, so it has influenced me quite a lot. It was the first time I saw real differences in people, because Europe as a whole, meaning most countries, has similar values but a certain type of strictness. In the US for the first time I felt some kind of freedom, being able to reinvent yourself and dream, which is a view that from then on I always carried with me. I lived in France, Spain, Italy for a while; also a lot of trips to Canada. Meeting different people and feeling the different culture is what moves me. And of course Film. Film, theater and all the arts have fascinated me since I was very young and I knew fairly early that this would be my passion, this is where I'll be able to bloom and grow as a person. The joy and warmth I felt while watching cartoons as a little kid or making fun of silly comedy shows with friends, is a feeling I want to help create, so that other people can feel it to. You could call it a life goal, main quest or maybe it is just a side quest but so far I am pretty young and still trying to figure things out.
