Biography
I have been obsessed with the variety of animation styles and storytelling for as long as I can remember. Storytelling in a visually stylistic way can have a profound impact on someone’s perspectives and even their trajectory in life, and I think it is long overdue for me to use my natural abilities and passion to contribute to this work and this community. Over the past years, life has pushed and pulled me in different directions, but I have never given up my dream to be part of the animation industry.
I have a particular passion for background painting, and I feel that background aesthetics and overall environment contribute greatly to the narrative and a viewer’s perception of the story. But my prior academic and professional work has taught me to keep an open mind and try to understand projects as a whole and how the different pieces come together to produce high quality work, so I’m also excited to absorb knowledge and learned experience about many or all parts of the creative process in animation.
