As an artist and instructor I strive to impart something universal about art making, beyond medium or specific style and technique. When teaching a diverse body of artists whom have varying aesthetic priorities, I believe I must take what’s most important that I’ve learned through picture-making and translate it to other modes of art making. I allow story to drive my design decision making process. I’m drawn to create vast landscapes and the characters who make these worlds worth exploring.
