Hello, I am Saurabh Som known as Sam, I have a background in visual effects, I have done my bachelors in animation and visual effects from media design school, Auckland New Zealand. Upon graduating, I was extremely lucky to have offered a job, having worked professionally although it was for around 5 months gave me the opportunity to experience and develop skills. As you know in these difficult times, like everyone else I have been affected too and I have been out of work ever since. I am living this dream, since childhood, I grew up watching films and always wanted to create a world which is believable to the audience. During the pandemic, I have been confused about my journey and passion for film, but I am finding ways to motivate myself and develop my skills so that, I can re-enter the industry, I have an immense interest in compositing, and I value the responsibility of being the last person to deliver a shot, and my long term goal is to see myself as a VFX supervisor and someday open a VFX school for the aspiring artist, who is in unable to afford. I may not land that many jobs offers knowing that i am colour blind ( not completely, i have difficulty in identifying shades of blue and yellow, but i often find some workaround to it ), as i see the world differently than others, i have often been told, by many that i will never be successful in this field, i am quite open about it, i believe in equality and giving a chance to every aspriing artsit, who are able to make a difference to the community. I am really glad that there are some people who are inspiring me.
