Biography
Hi there! My name is Sarah Park and I'm an NYC-based, Korean American, freelance storyboard artist who has her sights set on breaking into animation. After moonlighting as a storyboard student for the past few years, I recently made the leap and pivoted from an 8-year career in public relations to pursue my storyboarding dreams full-time. It has been a nonstop, humbling experience to start over as a freelance artist since and an exciting climb towards new goals and milestones, which recently include gaining commercial storyboard clients of my own and being selected as a WIA (Women in Animation) Story Mentee. When it comes to my own work, I love finding the funny in the mundane, the sincere in the silly, and never cease to be moved most by stories that center on connection and family. As an Asian American artist, I'm also endlessly inspired by my heritage and feel energized when I see diverse identities and complex families sincerely represented in TV & film. I hope to inspire others in the same way one day. Until then, I'm on the hunt to join a team where I can continue to learn from, grow with, and contribute my hardworking energy and positive attitude to.
