Biography

My name is Sandra López De Aragón, I was born in Mexico City, since I was a little girl I love to draw. I have always been a huge fan of animated movies, I remember that I loved to watch the making of and the behind the scenes of the films and wondering how they could make that. When I was in High School I realized that I wanted to work and be part of an animation studio. Also, while growing up I new that creativity was my thing so I decided to study Graphic Design. Since I was studying Graphic Design I realized that what I enjoyed the most of my career were the animation subjects, that's why I decided to study an Animation Specialty after finishing college and after three years of working in a design studio. I had the chance to study in a Mexican school called ESCENA, where everyone is really passionate about animation and that passion is contagious. In this school I realized how much I love 3D animation and definitely this is what I want to do for the rest of my life . My passion telling stories through different characters, and bringing them lo life. I love to see how you can tell so much with just one expression and a body position. For me, making animation is like playing, it remembers me when I was a young girl playing with my dolls creating all type of stories and scenarios for them. Probably that's why I enjoy it so much. After I finished my Animation Specialty I began working with different studios. My first job as an Animator was with Kooltoon, a Mexican studio where I had the chance to be part of their first animated movie called "Águila y Jaguar, los Guerreros Legendarios". I animated three different scenes for this movie, and I learned how is it to be part of an animation studio. After that, I worked with Golem Studio, which is in Peru, with them I have participated in two different projects, the first one was a movie trailer and the second one, and my most recent project was one called "Pilsen Gamers" where we made some animated avatars for deaf gamers who need to speak trough ASL, so they can communicate while they're playing. I also worked with Demente Studio in Guadalajara, Mexico, where I animated some scenes for the "BoloFest 2022", a Christmas special program for a Mexican Company called Liverpool. Now I am ready to keep growing as an Animator, what I'm interested the most is to be part of animated films, I want to share new stories through incredible characters and have fun bringing this characters to life. I love Animation so much!
