Biography

11 years ago I watched a film that almost made me flunk my classes. I kept watching it and watching it, I watched a lot more like it. The film was Interstellar. Luckily, I passed my classes and discovered something invaluable. I loved watching films and even more, making them.

Years later, I moved to Canada to study filmmaking and over the course of 2 years in my education, I had multiple opportunities to fiddle and learn the dynamics of 3D environments created for LED Volumes in UE5. This armed me with an important opportunity to create my own environment for Virtual Production. I chose to recreate my home back in India. I started with what seemed impossible, found joy along the way in doing which eventually led to Unreal Engine Student Showcase.

Any such achievement remains a fiction if there is no collaboration. The Mother (showcased project) has hardwired in me the spirit of collaboration. Ironically, one of the problems the projects face is communicating information with team members. Overcoming this obstacle became my strength. However, at the same time, one must prioritize tasks to meet multiple deadlines! My experience working in the Production department, in addition to my CAPM education, has given me theoretical as well as hands-on knowledge for being the bridge, thus facilitating people, as well as meeting deadlines.

Another learning that shapes me, is finding the Joy in Doing. Which is why work excites me, it gives me a chance to learn to broaden the horizon of the ability to Do the Work!. Any and every time there is work to do on a Film or TV Show, is an opportunity to work and that alone suffices and gives joy.

Thank you for taking the time to read!
