Ruby Wang, a 3D artist, illustrator, and storyteller who specializes in 3D modeling, aims to bring life to exceptional two-dimensional concepts and designs by transferring them into three-dimensional models. Her illustrations indicate an emphasis on facial expressions, which are often paired with complementary color schemes. Most of her storytelling works tell dark fictions with a twist at the end, as she enjoys altering the audience’s perception of the plot to create an unexpected realization. As a Computer Animation alumni at Ringling College of Art and Design, Ruby has produced several short fully computer animated films that demonstrate weight, force, character emotion, and story. Each project involves designing, modeling, rigging, texturing, animating, lighting, and compositing all done by herself.
She has recently completed a 1 minute and half fully animated short film "Pop!", which has won several film festival awards.
