Since I remember existing that I have been attracted to the act of creation. I remember trying to create the best dessert ever with all my favourite things: condensed milk, chocolate covered breakfast cereal and butter cookies; trying to melt a candle and press a ring on the candle wax to create a seal like a king or rolling green cabbage into a cigarette and lit it on the fireplace, so I could try smoking. It all ended up in small disasters. But it never deterred me from creating and asking “why not?” instead of “why?” Years later I was sewing my own clothes, experimenting with my makeup and exploring photography. Photography was my playground, it was my dreams coming true, it was the food for my ravenous soul. When I got into university, I had so much fun at live model drawing and digital art classes. Even though I completed a bachelor’s degree in graphic design, every design project made me feel miserable as I thought nothing I did was remotely good as much as I tried. It made me despise myself. So I ended up moving to Paris to work at Disneyland Paris as a photographer. After a couple of years capturing children’s happiness there, I started to miss my own childhood and the need to create. I came back home to Portugal and did a vocational course on 3D animation and absolutely fell in love with character animation. It absolutely fills me with the purest joy! I can't wait to offer my heart and hard work to a team of creatives in animation and complete impossible missions!
