Richard began his career working in the graphic design industry, before expanding his skills to encompass the world of digital animation. He spent 5 years as a lead CG artist working in commercials, broadcast, and interactive entertainment.

Richard co-founded Axis in 2000 and is currently responsible for defining strategy, direction and for the development of relationships with clients and production partners for Axis, AxisVFX and Flaunt.
Besides that, Richard is a board member of Creative Scotland and also works in an advisory capacity with various Scottish universities and art schools.
