I am a concept artist and indie game developer. I work in the video game industry, visually developing worlds, and creating assets for those worlds.

Biography

My name is Pierce - I am a concept artist, game developer, and world builder. My earliest memories are of me creating - making maps of the forest around my childhood home, building legos, and drawing pictures of everything. This tendency to create has continued to today, where my professional and personal life revolves around becoming the best creator/ artist I can be. When not concept arting however, you can find me in the mountains, reading, gaming, doing any physical activity (especially backpacking, karatedo, running, and weight lifting), or making café au laits at 6 in the morning. It's a vibe.

My Educational background includes maintaining a 3.95 GPA at Seattle Pacific University while pursuing a double major in Illustration and Honors.
At Seattle Pacific University I was nominated for the Presidents Citation award, in which my professors described me as:

- "Pierce is a tireless worker who has helped in a great number of roles on campus, and he gives his all to each one.”
- “Pierce is another “hands in everything” person- reliable, creative, positive attitude, always willing to help, no matter the circumstances.”
- “An incredibly gifted young man with a passion for both Philosophy and Art – an unusual
combination of the creative and the deeply reflective and intellectual – and outstanding achievement in both areas.”

In tandem with my academic pursuits, I actively engaged in the games industry, wearing multiple hats as a Concept Artist, Illustrator, and Art Director. These roles spanned across collaborations with small indie studios like Cloaked Games and Crimson Stone Games, contributions to game jams, and participation in ambitious projects such as Beyond Skyrim. Within these endeavors, I played a pivotal role in defining artistic directions for various games, showcasing my ability to make impactful creative decisions.

Further, I've worked freelance, collaborating with diverse clients seeking illustrations and concept art for their gaming projects. My dedication to delivering high-quality work and creative solutions has consistently resonated with clients and partners.

I've also been developing my own sci-fi-fantasy RPG: Project Contrast (Seen on the homepage of my portfolio), a project that exemplifies my proficiency with the entire game making process, as well as pixel art.

In addition to the art skills, I am very **interpersonal, enthusiastic, and eager**. I'm the person that gets excited about every step of progress along the way; I find progress to be a self-fulfilling end. I care about my teams, and with 8+ years of leadership training, I know how to collaborate and work effectively with a wide range of individuals.

All this said, my life goal is to reach my potential as an artist and human, and I work every day to be better than I was the day before.
