I have been a freelance artist for over three years whilst completing a two year diploma in 3D animation and production. I am available for contract work until July of this year when I complete my qualification, and am available for more hours after that. I have had experience applying 2D painted textures to 3D models using Photoshop and Maya, and as a freelance illustrator, I have extensive experience using photoshop, supplemented by further experience as a painter using traditional media. I am currently completing a two year diploma in Animation at The Yoobee School of Design in Christchurch, New Zealand, finishing in July. There, I have advanced my knowledge of software including Adobe Photoshop, Animate, Illustrate, Maya, Substance Painter, and Zbrush. I have also had production planning experience for design, film, and animation. This work has involved the creation of project briefs, which required a flexible approach and work flow to understand new concepts, techniques, and project backgrounds. Key to production planning has been constant back and forth communication with team members to ensure quality to meet production needs, with particular emphasis on incorporating the feedback of my peers, and giving them useful critiques in turn.
