I am a multidisciplinary artist working in the fields of immersive spatial experiences, XR, and audio-visual performance installations, searching for a new language for the future of storytelling.

Biography

I am a multidisciplinary artist working in the fields of immersive spatial experiences, XR, and audio-visual installations. I was born in Burghausen, Germany. I live and work in Munich as a media artist and art director for immersive spacial experiences, XR and audio-visual installations. I finished my studies of Arts&Multimedia in 2022 where I was focusing on 3d modeling, animation, VR and using game engines. I worked for the media artist Betty Mü, as well as multiple film production and design studios (Stein Communication, Havas and Blackspace) where I worked as a motion designer and learned about the many aspects of multimedia productions. Between 2018 and 2020 I had a VJ residency at Harry Klein Club where I showed video art in real time. Besides that I hold a master degree in physics where I focused on using XR as a visualization tool of abstract curved spaces in general physics and mathematics. Now I use this knowledge to lift scientific findings and ideas into abstract and poetic abstractions of art and digital storytelling. My work thrives to facilitate the integration of science&technology into art, weaving hybrid collaborations between science, media arts, gaming and performance and creating multi-sensory spatial stories that communicate with the occupants and enhance their spatial and virtual experience. In 2021 I started working together with the choreographer Sophie Charlotte Becker and started combining dance and choreography with new technology. I had a big focus on collecting data with motion capture and the real-time visualization with immersive media. In another project with the contemporary circus PepeArts I brought a circus performance into VR. Currently I work on the realization of VR productions in collaboration with the film production studio Reynard Films in Leibzig. Some of my works include a VR experience „Nyx“ a visualization of a black hole that was shown in the sci-fi festival in Munich an art Inc Art Fair in Hamburg. I created the exhibition „Cosmic Hive“ at the theatre Pathos and a live dance performance in VR „Hyperreality“ at the theatre „schwere Reiter“. My work was furthermore a part of many film festivals, like VRDays in Rotterdam, NewImages in Paris, Stereopsia in Brussels and GIFF in Geneva (2022). I work in collaboration with performance artists, programmers and other media artists. Furthermore I write about theories of reality and perception between these blended worlds of science and creative expression and speculate about immersive storytelling and possible futures that incorporate meaningful scenarios of humanity, nature, technology and spirituality.
