I am Nicole Arriaga, a 2D artist from HTX. I graduated from SHSU with a Bachelor's in Art and Art History minor. I’m passionate about Illustration and Visual Development. I enjoy drawing fairies and ballet, most especially creating fantastical elements for the worlds and characters in my canvas. My family is from Mexico (Merida y San Luis) and I grew up with the appreciation of the art from the teachings of my abuelo, a musician, and a dash of my abuela's circus blood in my veins. Art has always been a window to endless possibilities as I worked towards a life that was expected of me. After some unexpected events, I promised myself to pursue my dream, a dream that is fueled by my childhood wonder in the imagination. The Prince of Egypt and Iron Giant are both the films that opened a world of possibilities that my family described, but in different forms of colors and shapes. The music and paint that my grandfather loves are imbedded in creative will that is born on a flat surface.
