Biography
From a young age, I started in the animation world, first with Flash and then diving into 3D with Maya and 3ds Max. Thanks to this, I began my journey in the industry at 15 when I joined as an intern in one of Argentina's biggest animation movies called "Metegol", directed by Oscar winner, Juan José Campanella. At first, I had many assistant roles in art, 3D, production, and marketing departments. As the project moved forward, I took on more significant roles in scene composition and in the render department. This experience let me see the full process of an animation movie and learn from top talents from Argentina and abroad.
After this, I kept working at the same company on children's series and an animated short named "Ian", mainly in the modeling and shading area, until I became a supervisor. Over these years, I worked with different pipelines, software, and workflows. I'm very interested in the procedural stuff and optimizing work processes, always paying attention to detail and manual work. As a supervisor, working with the production team, my job was to manage teams to bring 2D concepts into 3D in the best way, acting as a bridge between the artistic and technical sides.
In the last years, I've moved closer to my passion: video games. In early 2021, I joined Tactile Games, a Danish mobile game company, working remotely from Argentina. This took me back to my roots, focusing more on developing environments, characters, and props. I also started working on lighting and shaders. In my free time, I'm learning render engines like Unreal Engine 5 and Unity, already using the latter in my current job. I see myself as enthusiastic and curious, always eager to learn new things, find new development ways, and keep growing in this industry.
