

Mpho Ramathuthu
Biography
Mpho Ramathuthu, is a published Author, Scriptwriter and Creative Producer. She has over ten year experience in the film and television industry. She has worked in training institutions such as The Scriptwriting Institute and Script-to-Screen in Indigenous Languages. She continues to provide training in Scriptwriting and motion picture in different cinema workshops. She has also worked on a number of television shows including the most popular soap drama “Muvhango”. Mpho is the founder and Creative Producer of the “Breaking Borders Project” (African Women in Film Project), a cross border film slate by African women in the SADC region. She also Co-Produced a Zulu Musical Feature Film called “She is King” that premiered in 2017 which also screened in different film festival across the globe. Her latest works also include a Short Film called “Ibala”, 2019. In 2019 she was one of the jury members at the Durban International Film Festival. In 2020 she was also a jury member at the Accra Indie Short Film Festival, Ghana.
