The passion and inspiration of Minkyoung Jo, the 3D animator, come from all around her. For many artists, art is something they love to do and is passionate about. Art is what helps her to express herself, not just in the classes and the work that she does, but even in the little detail of her life. Loving to explore, Minkyoung can turn anything that she encountered in life inspiring. Not just going to the museum or watching a movie is an inspiration for her. The creativity that keeps flowing from her mind lets everything – from cliché subjects such as love and death to music, musicals, and movies. All she could ask for is being able to make inspiring artwork for more generations to come. Born in Korea but lived in Malaysia for 7 years - now based in San Francisco, Minkyoung was exposed to many cultures and people, which helped to develop her open mind. She is not afraid of changes in the environment and familiar with various cultures; is also able to interpret that unique and valuable knowledge in the art she creates. There are more lessons for her to keep learning and grow more – and she is happy to have more knowledge come in her way. Minkyoung hopes that she would be the one who opens the new perspective of animation one day. Keeping the realistic illusions, developing more stories, and creating in-depth characteristics to make the audience relate to it while being able to reach out to more sensitive, darker plots and secrets, is what she is aiming to do.
