I'm a versatile artist with a very eclectic skillset that favors experimentation . My goal in life is bringing dark, nasty and fearful characters to life, that help others confront their fears.

Biography

I graduated with a degree in Graphic Design from my home country of Ecuador. Through a Fulbright Grant, I studied abroad and graduated with a Masters in Entertainment Arts and Engineering from the University of Utah. Since then, I've been involved in making art for videogames. I've always loved fantasy stories and games ever since I was a child. However, since I was also afraid of anything supernatural, I was drawn to my culture's folktales, dark fantasy art, and, later in my life, the horror genre. This allowed me to confront fears with my study of art, and now I deeply love making things that resonate with this. I believe that horror and darkness in media is ripe for exploration of deeply human themes, and I would love to imbibe this in my art. My favorite artists include Keith Thompson, Tehani Farr, Cedric Pavernay, Pascal Blanche, Kentaro Miura, Tsutomu Nihei, Hidetaka Miyazaki, and Alan Reznik. In my free time, I like watching movies with my girlfriend and family, making music and doing calisthenics.
