My name is Michelle Leon and I am a Marketing Assistant at the Dream Center Foundation in LA. I have also done many freelance projects such as designing for a board game, illustration an animated kids show pitch deck, designed wall murals for a kids child care center, among others! I am also finishing up my last semesters at Art Center College of Design, completing my BFA in Illustration in Entertainment Art, in which I am focusing on character design and visual development. I have a Fine Arts Associates degree, as well as a Certificate of Proficiency in Graphic Design. I live in Los Angeles, CA with my husband and three children. My husband is a musician and plays at churches and with other musicians around Los Angeles. We are originally from Seattle, Washington, but moved down to California seven years ago. Outside of work and school, my husband and I currently volunteer as live-in House Parents for the Dream Center Family Floor where we cultivate community and fellowship for families currently experiencing homelessness. I have previously volunteered at other art based events including the Pasadena Arts and Culture Committee, Seattle Art Museum Gallery, Schack Art Center, Creation Festivals and other church-based events. I was also President of my campus Art Club at Shoreline Community College where I organized meetings and figure drawing classes. I have some experience working in visual development, character design, storyboards, etc., but most of all, I have a passion and a drive to be continually drawing and learning new techniques and skills. I am passionate about helping to bring stories to life, not only for the inner and outer hilarious child in myself, but also to see imagination light up in my children’s eyes from these amazing stories.
