Originally from America, I first moved to Japan in 2006 after spending a year in Seoul, Korea as well as in Southern Italy. My love for food language and fascination with culture has always pushed me out into the world.

In Japan I have an organic farm where I grow ~300 varieties of veggies, fruits, mushrooms, herbs, flowers, and more. The farm is my sanctuary and the place that helps me stay busy creatively and physically. I also started my farming/DIY school "Grow Hayama" for adults in 2024

I began acting and appearing on television in Japan nearly 10 years ago. I have had several regular programs on NHK World, live cooking programs, played parts in TV dramas as well as a few movies. I’m best known for my role as a butler in the TV and Film series ConfidenceManJP. In 2022 I played the lead role in the film 1446, An Eternal Minute, & Solitary Gourmet (2025)

In March 2022, I published “Do It Yourself, 自分の人生のつくりかた” My Book is about building a life for happiness through the metaphor of building a home DIY style.  I have also written several series and film scripts, hoping to produce and direct in Japan in the near future.
