Hello, my name is Mei Harter. Like many artists, I have been drawing and watching all kinds of animation since I was able to pick up a pencil. I strive to problem-solve and improve the project I am tasked with, whether it is visual design or movement in the animation. I often like to add something new to the table and connect my other interests, like history and languages. From my years of schooling, I'm aware of how powerful education is and hope to be of service to my community with my skills. Fortunately, I have been able to continue my mission by working in educational youth media. Within those spaces, I've been able to connect young audiences by evoking creativity, critical thinking, inquisitiveness, and emotion through the animations.

I attended 14 East Magazine's group meetings where they list multiple stories for their illustrators to pick. Once I found an article that intrigued me I sketched, drew, and then rendered due to the quick turnaround. Finally, I submitted various versions of coloring, compositions, and renderings of my headers for the editors to choose from.
