Originally from sunny Southern California, I love driving with the windows down and poking around in tide pools at the beach. I have a sense of wonder has pushed me to constantly explore and learn new things—whether it’s artistic skills, obscure facts about the world around us, or about the process of creating beautiful animation. I’m particularly inspired by nature: volcanoes, the ocean and marine life, or even the far reaches of space and the discovery of new exoplanets. Each new story I create or work on inevitably leads me down a habit hole of great new research! I’m also energized by the support of the wonderful people around me and from stories like Avatar the Last Airbender, Dune, and anything and everything written by Rick Riordan.

I've had the privilege of working on many teams that have required me to step into leadership roles and ask practical questions that encourage creativity and help move work forward. Whether it’s a community service group for social change, indie animation or gaming studios, or graphic novel and comic projects, I love seeing how communication and collaboration pushes everyone to create something incredible and to have fun doing it!
