Mary received a BFA in Theater from University of California Los Angeles and an MFA in Editing from the American Film Institute. Most recently, Mary has been the first assistant editor to Joe Walker, for the films "Arrival", "Bladerunner 2049", "Widows" and "Dune" (2021). Working with and being fostered forward by Joe, Denis Villaneuve and Steve McQueen has been a continued eduction. She has also been lucky enough work for other incredible story tellers, including Ron Yerxa and Albert Berger, Michael Mann, and Roger Donaldson. Mary was lucky enough to be accepted to and participate in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts’ Summer Musical Theater Intensive 2018 and 2021. She continues to study voice with Jane Streeton, the lead singing tutor for RADA. Working with some of the best artists in the film business has prepared Mary to transition into telling her own stories. She has just finished her directorial debut: an experimental dance piece titled "Transfiguration." In her own work, Mary seeks to explore the interactions between the internal and external world and the ways in which memory and experience manifest themselves in the physical body.
