Centuries ago I turned down my job as a junior art director in advertising. I chased the dream of working in the animation industry to be able to say: "I did everything right, I worked for Disney once. I drew a blade of grass." That was my plan! So I focussed on animation for a while, preferably in 2D, but also trained me in 3D. By a happy coincidence, I was able to work for rollickin' on a feature film project in 2019 that sparked a passion for storyboarding. For me storyboarding combines the most beautiful disciplines: Storytelling, acting & drawing in a fast, dynamic way. Thanks to my experience as an animator, I have a lot of fun drawing key poses and top notch facial expressions. It's easy for me to read comedy moments between the lines to make the story more entertaining: that's probably the part I like the most. But I also have a penchant for drama, which is why I personally like films and watch series that deal with human abysses or inevitable fates. When I finally grow up as the Story Artist I would like to be, I will enrich the feature films of the future (and definetely Disney Features). That's the plan.
