Biography

Mariana Netto is an illustrator who works mainly on children's animation projects. She graduated in Design from the School of Fine Arts at the Federal University of Bahia (EBA-UFBA), and ever since, she has been passionate about collaborating on enjoyable and heartwarming projects.

She has experience as a character & prop designer, background painter and storyboard artist. Most of these projects were developed by brazilian studios and delivered to global companies such as Cartoon Network and Discovery Kids.

In 2022, she finished her animated short film “Backyard” (Quintal), in which she worked as a director, storyboard artist and character design supervisor. The project had financial support through the Culture Fund of the State of Bahia (Brazil) and had the collaboration of several students from MIRÁ - Animation Research Centre at the School of Fine Arts (UFBA), , who learned about the animation process working on the project. Currently, the short film is participating in several festivals around the world, especially those with environmental themes or aimed at children.
