Biography
Marc Simonetti joined DNEG as an Art Director in 2022. Internationally renowned for his fantasy and science fiction artwork, including the iconic design of George R.R. Martin’s Iron Throne, Marc has built a distinguished career spanning film, publishing, and video games.
As an illustrator, Marc is well known for his design of the Iron Throne By GRR Martin, but he also illustrated many major fantasy books such as the "Discworld", Lovecraft books, " the Three Body Problem", "Dune", Red Rising" or The name of the wind" to name a few.
Prior to joining DNEG, Marc collaborated extensively with Luc Besson and contributed concept and visual development work for studios including Weta Digital, MPC, EA, Activision, Ubisoft, and Sony Interactive Entertainment. His notable credits include "Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets", "Aquaman 2" and "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts", " Alien Romulus", alongside DNEG projects such as "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire", ‘Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire", "The Gorge" and "Blade Runner 2099".
Celebrated for his cinematic imagination and richly atmospheric world-building, Marc continues to bring a distinctive visual sensibility to DNEG’s most ambitious and visually driven productions.
