Biography
I was born on the Greek island of Rhodes. Both my parents are architects, and although I was first heading towards that career as well, my love for storytelling and cartoons made me choose a more creative direction.
Around the last year of high-school, after getting a drawing tablet and practicing for a few years, I decided to fully pursue an artistic career, worked to create a portfolio and managed to get in a UK Art & Design foundation course in Leeds.
I was initially going to study Animation after finishing my Foundation studies, but ended up choosing the Comics & Concept art course to have more versatility. I'm now on my third year of the course, trying to build a Storyboarding, Character Design and Story Art oriented portfolio by the end of the year.
I'm not entirely sure how to proceed after finishing my studies, though I'm hoping to either get an internship or entry position in the animation industry (most likely as a storyboard artist/revisionist), where I can learn as much as I can and slowly build my career. Alternatively, I'm considering taking an MA course on either Worldbuilding or Animation.
I also have some interest in writing, though I haven't completed any major projects as of yet. Truth is I went through a bit of a fantasy and sci-fi novel binge during the pandemic, which reignited my passion for books. So I've been learning about literary theory on the side while practicing my visual art skills.
Currently, I'm just doing my best to improve as much as I can, learn about the industry and get ready to work as a professional.
