Biography
Hello!
My name is Lisa Steinberg and I am a concept artist and illustrator born and raised in Hamburg, Germany. While I always had a passion for drawing and sketching, it was not until my time at the HTK (Technical school of arts and multimedia Hamburg) that I heard of schools and programs specifically teaching concept art. I graduated HTK in early 2013, majoring in illustration and post-production, before attending FZD School of Design in Singapore that same year. In late 2014, I graduated with a diploma in Industrial design and returned back to Germany.
Early 2015 I joined a small mobile games company called Mobile Monsters (4.15-10.15). Here I created concepts for sci-fi bases and spaceships, as well as some UI design.
Following that I joined BeamNG in Bremen, a computer games developer focusing on realistic vehicle physics. I stayed there for almost 2 years (12.15-11.17), creating character concept art, comic cutscenes, helping with writing simple storylines and working on small animations using the program Spine, as well as promotional artwork. In November 2017 I decided to take the first steps into my freelance career.
Since then I have worked with a variety of clients with different tasks, ranging from book illustration to movie production concept art and promotional illustrations. Most notably I have worked (and continue to work) with StonePark Productions on their coming feature film “DEOR” and their online studio project “drawBridge”
While I enjoy working as a freelancer, I would also gladly join a team full time, should the opportunity arise.
In my spare time, I am tinkering with my own story for a comic series I hope to start soon, working on other personal projects and of course enjoying video games and movies.
