I am currently a Freelance Background Painter and Illustrator working and living in Los Angeles, California. I was born in Victorville, California and raised in Mexico. If I wasn’t drawing my favorite animals and cartoon characters, I would spend most of my childhood playing cards or watching soap operas with my family. I obtained my Bachelor’s in Animation and Digital Art from Tecnológico de Monterrey. My passion for environments and detail landed me my first job as a 3D Designer at an architecture firm in Queretaro. Moving to LA and starting a career from scratch quickly made me learn that every day without learning something is a day wasted. As soon as I arrived, I realized I had a long way to go before landing my first job.I looked for opportunities everywhere and anywhere. In 2020 I worked relentlessly to sharpen my skills; practicing day and night, finding online resources, events and workshops until I hit gold, and by the end of the year a studio contacted me to work on a new show as a background painter and illustrator. When I’m not meticulously drawing inside the lines or looking for references for my work, you can find me spending time with my husband exploring Los Angeles pointing out every bird I see.
